COVID-19 UPDATES

7/17/2020

Both the July 20th and July 27th camps will be moved to the Moolah Shriner’s gym. Please take note of this change when signing up for camp.  If your child is already signed up, Bobby McCormack’s Camp will assume that your preference is for your child to remain registered. Please email info@schoolyou.com if you have any questions or would like to request a cancellation. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Campers 10 and older will be required to wear a face mask when they are not playing basketball or eating.  Single use masks will be available to purchase for $1.00.

 

6/24/2020 

In compliance with St. Louis County’s Covid-19 Summer Camp Guidelines, we have made the following adjustments to our July 6-10 camp.  We will be adopting our shooting camp format which limits close player contact and minimizes shared space.  July camps will be held in the gymnasium at Saint Louis Priory High School which has several baskets allowing campers and staff to spread out. 

 

JULY 6-10 SHOOTING CAMP

Camp Type: Co-ed Boys and Girls Youth  –  Ages 6 – 14
Location: Saint Louis Priory School 500 S. Mason Rd, St. Louis, MO 63141
Session Options: Mornings Only | Afternoons Only | Full Day
Times: AM 8:30 – 11:30 am | PM 12:30 – 3:30 pm| Full Day 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
Cost: $130 for one session | $230 for Full Day

Walk-ins will be allowed however, no more than 110 campers can attend each session in order to be in compliance with St. Louis County guidelines.

In compliance with St. Louis County’s Covid-19 Youth Sports Guidelines, we have made the following adjustments to our June 15 -19 and June 22-26 camps.  We will be adopting our Shooting Camp format which limits close player contact and minimizes shared space.  June camps will be held in the Gymnasium at the Moolah Shriners facility which has lots of baskets allowing campers and staff to spread out.  The facilities are cleaned daily and additional staff will be hired to provide additional sanitation.  Drinking fountains will not be available.

We are regrettably cancelling the June 8-12th camp. Refunds will be issued per our cancellation guidelines (posted on our website) within 14 days in the same manor in which you paid. We are working feverishly to begin camp the week of June 15th.

This morning County Executive Dr. Sam Page announced the Phase I – May 18th gradual re-openings of St. Louis County will NOT include summer camps.  Regretfully, Bobby McCormack’s Basketball Camp is cancelling our May 26-29 Shooting CampRefunds will be issued per our cancellation guidelines posted below.  We are currently accepting registrations for June, July and August camps.

Bobby McCormack’s Basketball Camp is currently accepting registrations. If a size limit for gatherings is established by the CDC and St. Louis County for businesses such as ours, necessary adjustments will be made to the structure of our camp. We will adhere to all guidelines while maximizing the amount of basketball our campers will get to play.  The safety of your children and our counselors is our utmost priority.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  • All campers must turn in a completed Health Screening Questionnaire signed by  a parent/guardian on Monday
  • Campers should bring their own basketball (clearly marked with child’s name) and sanitize them daily.  As a convenience, Coach McCormack has basketballs available for purchase online here>> Or, simply add a basketball to your order when you register your child for camp.
  • Campers 10 and older will be required to wear a face mask when they are not playing basketball or eating.  (Single use masks will be available to purchase for $1.00)
  • Parents/guardians should remain in their car at drop off and pick up
  • Camp staff will open the car door to receive your camper and escort him or her to their assigned group
  • Only campers and staff will be allowed inside the gym
  • Based on the gym size, registrations will be capped at 110 campers
  • With the exception of a water bottle (clearly marked with child’s name) outside food and drinks are NOT allowed
  • The camp concession stand will be open and all concessions will be individually packaged items
  • Box lunches will be available for purchase for campers attending a full day session
  • Campers should bring camp bank money in a marked envelope to be given to staff at Monday drop off if they plan to purchase concessions
  • All staff will be temperature and symptom checked daily
  • Campers and counselors will be asked to practice social distancing throughout the camp
  • There will be no scrimmaging and contact that puts participants within 6 feet of each other will be minimal
  • Campers will be segmented into groups of no more than 10 (including counselor)
  • Campers will wash hands immediately upon arrival and at the end of camp
  • Frequent opportunities for hand washing or hand sanitizing will be provided
  • The gym will be sanitized between the morning and afternoon camp
  • Staff has been hired whose sole responsibility is to continually clean equipment and surfaces
  • No more that 110 campers can attend any one session in order to comply with St. Louis County guidelines.

 

COVID-19 CANCELLATION GUIDELINES

  • If Bobby McCormack’s Basketball Camp is forced to cancel because of mandated bans on gathering, a full refund (less a $10 processing fee) will be issued to all registrants. At this time, June, July & August summer camps have NOT been canceled.
  • If a parent chooses to cancel their child’s registration, an email must be sent to Coach McCormack at info@schoolyou.com requesting  withdrawal from camp.  Requests must be received 2 weeks in advance to receive a full refund less a $25 nonrefundable registration fee. Requests made within the 2 week window will be be refunded the cost of their camp less our standard $100 nonrefundable fee.  Requests received less than 48 hours in advance of the camp start date will not be refunded.
