Bobby McCormack's Youth Basketball Camps St. Louis

Bobby McCormack's Basketball Camp:
Meet Coach McCormack

Coach Bobby McCormackCoach McCormack is the head varsity basketball coach at Saint Louis Priory School. In more than 29 years of coaching, he has accumulated over 400 victories.

During his time at CBC, McCormack led the Cadets to the Missouri State Championship and to the Missouri's Elite Eight five times. After their third consecutive 20-win season in 2001, he was elevated to second place on CBC's list of all-time winningest coaches and trails only school legend DC Wilcutt, who amassed a 569-331 record.

McCormack, is a 1981 graduate of CBC, and played for four years under Coach Wilcutt. As a player at CBC, McCormack excelled and still holds the record for most points in a game (46 points) and most field goals made in a game (21). He is fourth among CBC's scoring leaders with 1,378 points from 1978 - 1981.

McCormack played collegiate basketball at the University of Missouri – St. Louis in the mid -1980’s. He was a standout point guard for the Rivermen and still holds school records. It is interesting to note that while McCormack led the team in scoring, he did so long before a three-point arc was instituted. Coach Wilcutt once told a radio interviewer that if McCormack could have benefited from a three-point arc, “there’s no telling how many points he would have scored.”

As a coach, McCormack takes the most joy in knowing he assisted in the development of over 25 collegiate level basketball players, many of which received full basketball scholoarships, throughout his career.

McCormack has led youth basketball camps for nearly 30 years.  Each summer, throngs of youngsters ages 6 through 14 descend upon his camps to participate in one of the area's top youth basketball camps. McCormack also offers coaching clinics designed for youth coaches in the St. Louis area.  His passion for leading youth camps was born out of his experience as a child going to Ed Mcauley and Gene Bartow’s camps.  Summer camp also gave him the confidence he needed to pursue his hobby of ball handling.  In middle school, he performed his ball handling show during numerous half time shows for both college and NBA games across the country.
